Su creadora es una ‘nerd’ que sintió la necesidad de combinar sus dos pasiones: el arte y la ciencia.

Shirlee Liberman, explicó a Bored Panda que desde que era una niña siente mucha curiosidad por el mundo. “Solía desarmar juguetes mecánicos e investigar cómo funcionaban. Cuando me hice un poco mayor leía enciclopedias solo por diversión”.

Yo era uno de esos niños fastidiosos que hacen muchas preguntas y luego comparten su conocimiento con todos a su alrededor, interesados o no”.

Así que creó su propia joyería, llamada Delftia. Su idea se basa en fabricar diseños interesantes, llevables y llamativos, pero no excéntricos.

Para Shirlee es importante que sus piezas “tengan algo que decir”. Ella misma dice que los accesorios que diseña son “iniciadores de conversaciones”, pues, las personas se interesan por saber su significado y comienzan a hacer preguntas a quien los lleva.

Cada pieza se hace a mano y se recubre con oro o plata. Hay diferentes modelos para amantes de la química, biología, anatomía, astrología, entre otras.
