Cycling Weekly reportó que el ciclista no resultó herido tras el incidente y pudo volver a subir a su bicicleta para terminar la etapa en el puesto 94, a más de 15 minutos del vencedor de la jornada.

En su cuenta de Instagram, Belkov señaló que la supuesta discapacidad mental de su agresor “es razón más que suficiente para no emprender ninguna acción contra él”.

No obstante, el corredor aprovechó para pedir que este incidente abra los ojos de los fanáticos y pedirles que nunca toquen a los ciclistas en carrera. “No corra junto a nosotros y asegúrese siempre de supervisar adecuadamente a cualquier persona bajo su cuidado”, subrayó.
